Boys and Girls Club of Charlottetown is a community-based, charitable organization dedicated to meeting the needs of young people through a variety of quality, structured educational, remedial, and recreational programs. The Boys and Girls Club of Charlottetown and the Montague location provides a safe environment and place to belong for all children and youth.
Boys and Girls Club of Charlottetown, a member of Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada, was established in 1983 to address the need for a wide range of programs and services to assist in the healthy development of youth in the Charlottetown area. The Club relies on the tireless efforts of numerous volunteers and programming staff, supported by a local board of directors, to provide quality programs to children and youth.
To provide safe, supportive places where children and youth can experience new opportunities, overcome barriers, build positive relationships, and develop confidence and skills for life.
All children and youth discover and achieve their dreams and grow up to be healthy, successful, and active participants in society.
We operate with several guiding principles laid out by Boys & Girls Clubs of Canada. Each day, every interaction with our members is shaped by the following core values: Belonging, Respect, Encouragement and Support, Working Together, and Speaking Out.
We firmly believe in developing and delivering programming that is equitable, accessible and meets the needs of families in our community. Our goal is to empower children and youth to realize their potential and strive to achieve their dreams regardless of their current life situation. The Boys & Girls Club is a place of comfort, a place to grow and thrive, a place to learn new skills and participate in new activities, a place to feel safe and more than anything, a place to belong.
