Financial Administrative Assistant

The Financial Administrative Assistant will perform a variety of accounting and administrative tasks. Duties will include supporting our day-to-day transactions, assisting in daily office needs and managing the Boys & Girls Club’s general financial and administrative activities. The Financial Administrative Assistant will also respond to inquiries from member families and members of the community. S/he must maintain the general policies and the mission of the Club as formulated by the Board of Directors. S/he will be responsible and accountable for operating within the confines of multiple budgets and will be expected to work independently under direction from the Executive Director.

QUALIFICATIONS

Post-secondary degree or diploma in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting

Advanced proficiency with Quick Books and HubDoc online accounting software as well as Microsoft Office suite

Legally entitled to work in Canada

Age 30 or under *This position is funded through Digital Skills for Youth Employment Program.

Self-identify as unemployed or underemployed

Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle

Additional experience and/or training related to administrative support services and experience working with children, youth and families through community-based services would be considered assets
